Artist's comments:
This painting always makes people smile.  There's something about beach huts that reminds us of childhood holidays by the sea, when the sun always seemed to shine.  I spent many years sketching on the east coast and these huts are in Southwold, a traditional seaside town in Suffolk.  I've taken artistic licence in the arrangement of them, but the bright colours and quirky touches are real.
